Discover a fully integrated centre of excellence for health, science and education in the South East
Aspiring to be an Academic, Health and Science Centre (ASHC), Kent Medical Campus will bring together businesses and organisations involved in finding solutions to complex healthcare issues and scientific research and development.
Kent Medical Campus offers a location designed to stimulate collaborative opportunities between research-led health and life science businesses with clinical service providers, supported by universities and specialist training providers.
Located in Maidstone, the 30-acre landscaped business park has permission to develop 98,000m2 (1,000,000 ft2) of flexible and innovative commercial space, including A1, B1 (directly associated with life science, healthcare and medical service sectors), C2 and D1 use classes. Once fully developed, it will provide up to 4,000 jobs. The Enterprise Zone already includes a Cygnet secure mental health facility and a step-down care unit operated by Care UK, complementing the KIMS Hospital (see below) which forms part of the Campus but is outside the Enterprise Zone.
Identified as a strategic development location, Kent Medical Campus has the backing and support of Maidstone Borough Council, Thames Gateway Kent Partnership and South East Local Enterprise Partnership.
Kent Medical Campus is also home to Maidstone Innovation Centre – state-of-the-art spaces providing inspirational surroundings as well as flexible accommodation, due to open in summer 2021. You can view or download a brochure about Maidstone Innovation Centre here.
